Game Recap - The hottest team in the HFWB squared off against the struggling G-Bangers, who needed a win to stay at .500 and to keep pace with the Yankees. That victory almost fell right in their hands on Thursday night.
The G-Bangers spotted Omar Husain plenty of run support in the first 3 innings. It was the second inning when they made the most noise though, scoring 7 runs off of Nick Giordano. Four of the runs though came of an inside the park grandslam by Joe Disco. Disco hit a popfly to RF, when Tim Goyette and James Strang violently collided. The two were on the ground for only several minutes, as Disco ran home. James had the wind knocked out of him and a bloody nose. The game still went on. The Barracudas fought back though, scoring 5 more runs in the bottom of the second, four of which Hess returned the favor with a grandslam of his own.
Nick eventually settled into a grove, pitching scoreless innings in the 4th, 5th and 6th, as Hess came in to get the remaining two outs. Omar didn't have his best stuff on Thursday, but he has plenty of time to work out the kinks before the playoffs start.
