Angels Fun Facts: The 2008 Angels won the championship, despite not having a single player voted for any of the league awards. The '08 Angels also had the longest winning streak during the season with 8 straight victories.

Angels Wiffleball: Team News:    Despite winning the championship in 2008, this group of Angels do not get the official credit. Since their captain left for another team, they begin a new era under Josh Longo.

Scouting Report
The Good:

The Angels have a solid core of players at every position. They also have a potent offense with Trigger and Cookfair. These guys finished 4th in the league in runs scored.  Yet their strongest part of their team is pitching.  Angels ace Josh Longo went 9-0 overall in 2008, and looks to improve on that success next season. Defensively these guys are just as strong. With Corey Zeh in the outfield, Trigger and Omar in the infield, there will be no gimme base hits. They all play hard on both sides of the ball. With a very good offense and one of the best rotations in the league, theres no reason to believe these guys can make it back to the finals again.

The Bad:

The only thing the Angels are looking for in the offseason is more pitching. Adam Trigger is a great #2 guy for the Angels, but it was reported Trigger may not want to pitch. With some top notch talent out on the free agent market, look for the Angels to make a big signing to make their team complete.

'09 Outlook:

It's going to be difficult for any team to come out of the Hess Division and reach the finals on a consistent basis, but these guys have a great shot. We all know pitching wins championships, and when you have an ace who has never lost, your chances of winning dramatically increase. Look for the Angels to take the title in 2009.
